About me
I established the business in 2012. With a focus on HR and Careers. Recent developments has seen the business focus solely on careers, which is my passion. I hold a Level 6 qualification in Careers Advice and Guidance, and I am a qualified Mental Health first aider.
Working with students and employers
I enjoy the variety in what I do and what the business brings. Not only do I work with students, but also businesses, in terms of employing apprentices, or looking at supported internships. The variety of education settings have different energies and need different skills to work with which definitely keeps me on my toes!
With more focus on linking schools and colleges with businesses in the County, our customers and associates are very generous with their time and enjoy working with young people. During this time, those working with the students are potentially meeting their future workforce and helping young people to see the fantastic range of employment opportunities in the area – this is really important to me.
I have had a varied career, developed different skills, worked with and met many different people. In most of my roles, I naturally evolved staff development and supported the team. I have completed training courses which has helped
me to build the service we offer to our customers. I am a naturally supportive person which is reflected in my coaching style.
Keeping up to date
We all endeavour to keep up to date with the latest information. I attend conferences, workshops and webinars, read industry specific magazines and newsletters, get involved in research, talk to others and learn a lot from my customers, colleagues and friends.
In my spare time…
When I am not working, you can find me on the golf course or joining in with the fun and games with family and friends. Occasionally, I am seen on stage performing in the local drama club and annual pantomime, raising money for local
causes.
