A-Level Results Day
Congratulations to you all for completing your A Levels, Diplomas, T – levels and Further education qualifications. If everything has gone to plan, congratulations and have a great time with the next step on your career journey.
Your next steps
If it didn’t quite go as expected or you have had a change of mind for your next step, there are some great work and further study opportunities available to you. You could continue your education, start work, or combine the two and start an apprenticeship.
There are a large number of employers out there looking for their next recruit. There is always more to a job than what’s written in the job description. Getting an idea of the culture and the feel of the business is always best done in a meeting, such as an interview. During this time, you can get to meet the teams and ask any questions you may have.
Through your education, coursework and exams, you have developed skills such as independent study, online communications, meeting deadlines and problem solving. You should be very proud!
Those of you who have been able to work during this time are adapting to new ways of working and having greater awareness of health and safety; well done!
Support for Your Future
Results day is a stage you go through on your career journey, a benchmark of where you are at this stage academically. There is a lot of support out there for you, such as your college/sixth form careers adviser or even local businesses if you feel you are work ready and would like an opportunity to earn and learn.
For those that may wish to talk through their next steps and for bespoke careers support in Cornwall, please do get in touch.
